Autumn seems a quiet time if you're checking out Richard's concert schedule. But he's still keeping busy.

For a lot of November, Richard will be in Zurich rehearsing with the Gringolts Quartet.

Formed a year ago at Schloss Elmau in Germany, the Gringolts Quartet is made up of violinists Ilya Gringolts and Anahit Kurtikyan, violist Silvia Simionescu, and Richard is the cellist.

In December, the Quartet will have another residency at Schloss Elmau throughout the Christmas period, performing quartets by Beethoven, Haydn, and Shostokovich.

In addition to the Zurich trips, Richard was recently invited to be guest principal cellist of the London Symphony Orchestra.

He will appear as their principal in a concert at the Barbican on October 31st.
