| On
January 11th, hear Richard and pianist Christoph Berner play works by Domenico
Gabrielli, Chopin, and Martinu on BBC Radio 3's 'In Tune' programme. Ralph
Kirshbaum will also be in the studio to talk
about Pierre Fournier, the Fournier Award and Thursday's Fournier Award concert
at the Wigmore Hall. Listen in from about
1715GMT. On
Thursday, January 13th, Richard and Christoph give a Fournier Award recital at
the Wigmore Hall, London. Richard won the 2004 Pierre Fournier Award. The programme
consists of Beethoven's Op.5 F major Sonata, the Chopin Sonata, Gabrielli's Ricercar
No.7 for solo 'cello, Martinu's first Sonata, and the Hungarian Rhapsody by David
Popper. Before
these two events, Richard can be heard on Sunday, January 9th at the RNCM Schumann/Brahms
Fest, Manchester, England, in a performance of the Brahms B flat major Sextet
with the Endellion Quartet and violist Predrag Katanic. | |
