| Richard "a joy to hear" in Saint-Saëns No.1 and Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations On February 15th, regional newspaper The News (based in Portsmouth, England) reviewed Richard's recent concerto appearance with the Havant Chamber Orchestra which took place at the Ferneham Hall, Fareham. "It was a joy to hear again talented 'cellist Richard Harwood who is making his name on the international stage. He belied his 21 years with his dazzling technique and mature musicality in the first concerto by Saint-Saens, and particularly Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme. This was memorable playing, warmly and sensitively accompanied by the orchestra." | |
