(Friday): St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London Lunchtime Concert
(21/02/04) Richard was to give
a duo recital at St. Martin-in-the-Fields with the pianist Irina Botan as part
of the Romanian Embassy's 'Young Romanian Musicians in London series'. Due to
Irina Botan's recent decision to currently no longer take part in any duo collaborations
in order to focus on her solo career, and the Romanian nature of the event, the
Romanian Embassy has altered the event to a solo piano recital for her. Unfortunately,
the Embassy only recently made this decision so the concert is currently publicised
online and in print as a Richard Harwood recital. Apologies
to all who were wanting and expecting to hear Richard at this event and apologies
to all who attended and only checked this page after the event. Richard's next
London recital will take place on Monday, October 18th, at the Purcell Room, South
Bank Centre with pianist Connie Shih.
